Architecture Illustration
In this project, I was to take an image of an existing piece of architecture and use it as a template to illustrate the image. This is akin to using a light table to trace an image onto paper. The building I chose is the Superdome located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Superdome is very unique as far as stadium designs go. Few look like it, and it is also the largest fixed domed stadium in the world. The stadium served as refuge for many New Orleans citizens during hurricane Katrina, and though is suffered damage from the storm, it kept its inhabitants safe. Recently the stadium was painted gold on the outside after the New Orleans Saints won the superbowl in February of 2010., and reflects the city's ability bounce back after such a traumatic storm. This was completed in Adobe Illustrator.
